This Friday promises to be a truly special event with the Lawrence University Wind Ensemble and choirs combining forces to present some truly amazing music, all of which refers to a time other than its own. Anton Bruckner’s Mass in e minor will be the major work, along with Dave David Werfelmann’s “Arclight Alley” which was commissioned by the LUWE a few years ago and Steven Stucky’s re-working of Henry Purcell’s Funeral Music for Queen Mary. Also included on the program are two antiphonal wind/choral works arranged by Steve Sieck. It should truly be an extraordinary musical journey. Join us live Friday, February 6 at 8 PM CST live in the Chapel or via webcast: http://www.lawrence.edu/conservatory/webcasts
